BEING AND NOTHINGNESS[1]

Diagram depicts the transformation of contelligence,

and how microcosm is related to macrocosm

S1 – absolute density (singularity) which constitutes the beginning of current life cycle

S2 – density equivalent to S1. this singularity constitutes the end of current life cycle

cp – previous life cycle. unlimited number of cycles occurred before

C – contelligence creates impression of centricity. we shall use the term "Multiverse" to denote the primordial substance (prima materia, ether, tao). the shape and size of the Multiverse are irrelevant. each model is nothing but idealization of contelligent beings

cn – next life cycle. the cycles continue indefinitely

U, U' – universal line (axis mundi) comprising subliminal, conscious and superliminal

H, H' – hyperspace position, or quantum state. each life cycle is a sequence of quantum states

m – in this model "m" stands for microcosm as the "real" world defined by sensory perception

M – macrocosm is both macroscopic structures (stars, galaxies, universe, etc.) and microscopic structures (atoms, particles, radiation, etc.) because they mirror each other. they are symmetrical, while contelligent beings find themselves at the centre of this symmetry

pTnT – the range of conscious, the "known" world. "T" stands for threshold

pS'nS' – the moment when S2 is anticipated. such revelation will always appear to take place before the middle of life cycle, as the second half is contraction to singularity (making the unlimited expansion impossible). it is important to realize that curves S1pI and S1nI are actually stretched curves S1S2. we shall postulate the ontological triad: pre-existence[2], life, after-life

pAnA – the moment of ascension. this is the beginning of the third phase (after-life) which is amalgamated with the first phase (pre-existence). the range between circles m and M is the "outer" world, beyond sensory perception. it is the spiritual world

pInI – the hypothetical moment of absolute beingness, always out of reach. however, it implies the same density as singularity. we shall infer that unlimited expansion[3] is a delusion, and is the same process of contraction leading to S2. what if we rotate the diagram 180 degrees?

I The first law of thermodynamics is the law of conservation of energy[4]. An empirical fact is that nothing gets destroyed, but only transformed. Therefore, such law applies to matter, as well as any other substance. We draw a conclusion: prosaic at first sight, but essentially profound. The sum of all things, i.e. all beings and substances is constant. This sum constitutes a whole, named many different ways. Multiverse, Absolute, God, the One (or singularity).

II Life is a sequence of transitional states between two singularities. In terms of quantum theory[5], these transitional states are called quantum states. Being will also form spans of those states, or densities. Perhaps analogy with chromatic scale[6] describes this best. Singularity, or absolute consciousness, exists only as a theoretical model to us. This is the highest possible density. Let's capture the following moment: a being reaches the absolute consciousness and is identified with the One, with the Multiverse. This is equilibrium. Such state of mind implies the complete loss of self and disappearance of the real. Therefore, at the same moment, the feeling of wholeness is the feeling of nothingness! The balance becomes the imbalance... The white is black, the good is evil, the biggest is the smallest (a point, if you wish). Out of this antinomy everything is created. So again, we incline towards equilibrium and repeat the cycle. As each substance is indefinitely divisible, we will always feel to be closer and closer to the equilibrium (or "perfect beingness"), but never achieve it as self-conscious beings. Only in altered states of consciousness, during which our ego is being annihilated and metempsychosis occurs. That is why we cannot remember it. It is safe to say that specific ratio determines consciousness[7], and vice versa. But of course, from cosmic perspective, there is no "white", "black", "being", "chaos", there are no mathematical constants nor physical laws. The mind creates those (mis)conceptions.

III What we denote as the "middle phase" of the cycle is a density, or a state of consciousness, during which we are fully aware of ourselves. That is "life". At the microscopic and macroscopic level the density appears to be larger and larger (symmetrically)[8]. Still, it doesn't make sense to "predict" the moment of density shift, nor metempsychosis. An individual is always situated at the centre of this system and acts rationally. Because, while we are self-aware, we maintain the illusion of the real, material world. While we are not, does it matter?

[1] This scripture is deliberately named after Jean-Paul Sartre's work.

[2] The idea of pre-existence of soul is not a novelty. It is found in the works of Plato, Petar Petrović Njegoš, in Christian doctrine, and it is even pictured in the 1968 movie "2001: A Space Odyssey". It is possible to speculate that this phase takes place during the fetus development, from the formation of zygote until birth.

[3] In Buddhism, the concept of "liberation from the karma cycle" is of great importance. But, as we can see, this is also a delusion. Cycles continue, while some of us might have a subjective impression of eternal non-material existence.

[4] "Nothing disappears, everything is transformed", a saying which is attributed to Heraclitus. It does sound like the earliest known formulation of the first law of thermodynamics.

[5] The basic premise of quantum theory is that energy is always distributed in "packages" called quanta. This is empirically confirmative, but the theory does not explain why.

[6] Human beings should differ among twelve densities. The keyboard is indefinitely expandable in both directions.

[7] To be precise, the golden ratio. We are "caught" in the golden mean and deceived to be separated from the whole as independent observers. Only in this case, the illusion of centricity is possible! It generates the "self".

[8] Heraclitus also wrote: "The way up and the way down is the same way." We have passed through the astral plane, but cannot remember it. And we shall transcend through those densities again.
